The Eastbourne Cycling Festival is back in July 2019 bigger and better than ever before. This year with the help of HSBC British Cycling we can bring you two solid days of cycling fun and excitement. Come and watch the racing and bring your bike as you will get the chance to ride on safe closed roads with all the family. Remember festival entry is completely free of charge.

13 FEB 2019 NEWS: We are so pleased to welcome Chandlers BMW as a major festival sponsor, they will be setting up a pop-up showroom at the foot of the Wish Tower Slopes and are also providing the circuit pace / safety car.

11 FEB 2019 PRESS RELEASE: The Eastbourne Cycling Festival is proud to announce that the South Coast Classic Elite Road Race is our headline act! 2x races, 140 elite riders, 20 pro race teams, 40 police outriders and thousands of hard core fans! The women’s race is on Saturday 27th July and the men’s race is on Sunday 28th July! Both races start & finish in the middle of The Eastbourne Cycling Festival! Better get your hotel’s booked and your cow bells packed! This is going to be epic!

Fixed Gear Racing Comes to Eastbourne

ThunderCrit is heading to the beach this summer. Expect high energy racing and action as riders battle it out around the 1.6km crit course with just one gear and no brakes. Fixed Crit racing is growing in popularity around the world and this once underground sport is now being recognised as a format that tests, speed, skill, endurance and bravery of the strongest riders. ThunderCrit has hosted some of the strongest riders from around the world including winners of Red Hook Crit, the pinnacle of Fixed Gear Crit racing. The current champions are Alec Briggs and Finnish National Road Crit Champion Eeva Sarlin.

  • By Car
    Traveling from London, we would recommend using the A23 towards Brighton and take the A27 via Lewes to Eastbourne, follow the signs for the Seafront.
  • Parking
    There will be a Park & Ride bus scheme in operation between 5 Acre Field (BN22 7SG) and Eastbourne Pier. Or you could park on 5 Acre Field and cycle to the Event following King Edwards Parade West.
